Overview

Sliding fee scale (fee is based on income and other factors) treatment center for homeless women.

Homeless women and their families face many challenges. When the disease of addiction is coupled with homelessness, it is doubly difficult for a woman to locate treatment, family services, and housing. Despite all of this, Amethyst sees hope and promise in each woman "regardless of her life circumstance.

Amethyst's goal is to help women, children, and families achieve lifelong sobriety, healthy relationships, permanent housing, and economic stability through gender-specific programs and services that combine alcohol and drug treatment with supportive housing for homeless women.

We give women the hope for recovery, the desire to heal their lives and the lives of their children and the courage to ask for help.

?At Amethyst, our program model focuses on addiction and emphasizes the roles that poverty and trauma play in perpetuating drug and alcohol use in women. Our nationally recognized programs include:
??? Permanent Supportive Housing
??? S.T.A.R Outpatient Program
??? Supported Employment
??? Trauma Services
??? Integrated Tobacco Program
??? SummerQuest
??? Program Admissions

Permanent Supportive Housing
Amethyst maintains 101 housing units throughout Columbus. These sober communities provide safe places for women and children to surround themselves by other families focused on sobriety and healthy relationships. Resident managers also live on-site to offer around-the-clock support.

From the curtains to the couches, our apartments are fully furnished, and residents' material needs are supported so families can concentrate on recovering instead of merely surviving.
