User Reviews: In early Feb 2016 I began looking for a long term inpatient substance abuse/mental health treatment facility for my son. He was refusing treatment but I started looking so that I would be ready to go when he decided to accept some help. I spoke with a woman from Wellness who assured me that my insurance was accepted and told me the out of pocket cost would be $3-$4k/mo. I stopped looking for another facility at that time as Wellness had been recommended to me by a few professionals (who knew I was looking for long-term, inpatient treatment) and it was also recommended in a book I read. Mid-April, 2016 my son decides he is ready for help. He calls Wellness for his “intake” call. An hour or so later, a gentleman calls my son back and says our insurance is not accepted. They tell me I will be a direct pay which will cost $9,340/mo. and they need it all up front. My son was in a vulnerable state and has always refused treatment so I agreed. In speaking with the man from Wellness he advised me to book a flight for the next day as often when addicts have time before treatment they will change their minds or go out to party one last time and overdose. The man said to have my flight info ready when he called back in a few hours. I booked a flight, waited for a return call and tried to be patient. Around 5:30 pm I started to get nervous so I called and the office was already closed! Through another contact, I was able to have someone from Wellness get in touch with him after hours and he called me. He said he would email me a Financial Agreement and I was to sign it and fax it back that same night. The Financial Agreement was not clear at all. It made zero sense to me but at this point I was desperate and unable to speak with anyone from the facility again that night. I was worried that if I didn’t sign it that night, he would lose the bed and I wouldn’t even know until we arrived in FL the following afternoon. When we arrived at Wellness, the man was running around like a mad man working on other intakes for the day so we were passed off to a new guy whose name I do not recall. He could not clearly explain the Financial Agreement to me either but did assure me that I would not have to pay any more than the $9,340 for the first 4 weeks (aside from food and cigarette money) and that my insurance would not be accepted by Wellness. I was completely exhausted and was trying to make my flight home that same evening, so I just left. Four weeks went by without them billing our credit card! My son agreed to stay an additional 4 weeks when a woman from the billing department called and asked me to please send her another copy of the Financial Agreement. They lost the first copy somehow. I faxed her the Agreement and paid an additional $8,160 for the additional 4 weeks. In the mail, I started receiving EOB’s from Blue Cross for my son’s treatment at a place called Twelve Oaks (which is mentioned nowhere in our Financial Agreement). When I called Blue Cross, they told me Twelve Oaks was billing for Intensive Outpatient Treatment. I called the woman at Wellness and she attempted to explain why I was “direct pay” while simultaneously they were billing my insurance company after telling me my insurance was not accepted. Her attempts to explain were unsuccessful and she later involved the CFO and the company’s Director. No one could explain why I was being treated as a direct pay and they were also billing Blue Cross but everyone agreed we were due a refund. For months I have been talking to a different person every time I call Wellness. My son was discharged on 5/13/16 and as of 12/18/16 they have not sent a refund of any sort but claim they will be sending $850.00, which is outrageous. Paragraph 1 of the Financial Agreement says $2,275/week for TREATMENT…not housing which they now claim. Why in the world would I sent my son all the way to Florida for outpatient treatment and then pay $7,500/mo. for him to share an apartment with 3 other men Wellness is clearly making their money on their mandatory housing fee and they DO NOT state that up front when you’re dealing with them over the phone or in person! I signed this “contract” under duress and I am considering contacting an attorney at this point. They are in network for my Insurance Company and refuse to bill the housing expense because I signed this crud in an attempt to save my son’s life. There is no reason it should not be billed properly which is all I have asked of them this entire time!

User Reviews: I brought my son to GBR after reading all these fabulous reviews. I seriously hoped for the same kind of recovery that others had spoken about. The admissions counselor seemed to know exactly where I, as the desperate and discouraged parent, was coming from. I personally took out a large loan, as our insurance didn't cover standalone treatment facilities, and took him in.The nurses and counselors are truly wonderful. I could not have asked for more. My son loved the nurses too. His counselors were very helpful, although I would have liked him to have had more time with them. The ideas are sound, and I got a lot out of the books that they gave him. If he had wanted to make any of it stick, it would have been great, but they could not change who he is, nor give him hope for the future, so it didn't work. He doesn't drink as much as he did before, and we have more sober days than we did before, but I feel that it is only honest to say that it doesn't always work. Frankly, if I only read positive reviews about a place, I would begin to wonder if they were "rigged".The building is lovely, it is on Pensacola Beach Blvd, however, there is no ocean access. The pictures led me to believe it was right on the beach and that my son would walk along the beach or sit on the beach and make life decisions. The truth is that there is a small piece of sand that overlooks the water, but it is not really a beach, and no one is allowed to be alone outside anyway, so don't expect that. I"m just letting people know what I found vs what I thought I would find.I don't think I would go so far as to call the cooks executive chefs, but they did cook dinners and my son said many of them were good. He didn't care for all of them though, and when he asked for Ensure instead of a meal, I was charged for that. I thought that was a little strange.Keep in mind that although the staff may be awesome, your family members may be still be hard to live with, and there may be disagreements between other guests and your addict. They are all grown ups with big problems, so don't expect all hearts and flowers and friends forever. My son was kind of a jerk sometimes when he went in and that didn't change. He's still kind of a jerk sometimes, and I'm sure he was tough to live with, as he told me that other guests were tough to live with too.I found that the pricing, as well as the length of treatment, were negotiable, which seemed a little odd. I"m grateful that they are sensitive to those of us who are not made of money, but feel that others should know that the first price they tell you may not be your only option.I read hundreds of reviews before I selected a place for my son. I know I really appreciated those who gave their honest feedback, as this is an industry plagued with scammers. Gulf Breeze is not a scam. It is a good idea. I think it could really make a difference if your addict would listen and use their information. It just didn't work right now with my son.I thought there might be more follow up with him after he left, but there was not much. He was assigned to a new counselor whom he had never met, so I don't think he ever called her. If your addict relapses and you want to send them back, there is no discounted rate, so I hope it works for you on the first round.

What Does Addiction Treatment Look Like in Jasper, FL?
Alcoholism recovery necessitates a total change of one's lifestyle and perceptions. Drug and alcohol addiction is a debilitating disease that changes the mind as well as the body. Learning stress management, healthy boundaries, and coping skills will significantly increase the likelihood of permanent sobriety. Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Jasper FL
My parents found New Options and Lifestyles Development and I am so glad they did. I’ve been using and trying to quit heroin for the last 10 years and it’s been really hard. I’ve gone to a few 28-day programs but they didn’t really do much good. By the time the 28 days were up I still wouldn’t be feeling all that great and when I went home it became almost impossible to stay clean. Since I wouldn’t be feeling completely fine and knowing that I could be feeling better if I just used it became all about willpower for me to stay clean and that never worked well for me. If sheer willpower alone could have kept me clean I wouldn’t have needed rehab in the first place. The fact that New Options and Lifestyles Development wasn’t based on time but on my own progress through the program made such a huge difference for me. I was able to move through the program at my own pace and when I did move forward on my program I was completely 100 percent ready to. Another thing about New Options and Lifestyles Development that was different for me was the fact that I actually enjoyed my time there. I didn’t spend my time there wishing I was somewhere else. I was happy being there and that made it so much easier to really concentrate on my program and not on anything that was happening at home. The counselors at New Options and Lifestyles Development are beyond amazing. I’ve never been to a place where every single counselor cares that much about the clients. There’s a lot of staff there that have had their own experiences with drug or alcohol addiction and because of that they really want to help the clients that come through. There wasn’t one time when I couldn’t talk to a counselor about something that was bugging me. I never felt like I was getting blown off. I also felt understood on a completely different level. It’s one thing for a counselor to tell you they understood what you’re going through. It is quite another thing to actually feel understood. At New Options and Lifestyles Development I always felt like I was understood and that I would get the help I needed to get through whatever it was I was going through at the time. A few other things about New Options and Lifestyles Development that I loved. We got to go out once a week with the other clients and go do something fun. You wouldn’t think it’d be that important but in actuality it made me realize how easy it was to have a good time without drinking or getting high. I was at New Options and Lifestyles Development for a little over 2 months and when I went home I was completely confident in my own ability to stay sober. I’ve been staying with my parents until both they and I feel like I’m ready to move out again. It’s amazing being about to reconnect with my parents. I never realized I missed just hanging out with my mom. I’m working now. I’ve had the same job for 2 months and as sad as it sounds, it’s the longest I’ve held a job. Going to Best Drug Rehab has completely changed my life. I’ve never been happier than I am right now and it’s all because of the program and the people at New Options and Lifestyles Development.
I am employed by CDS FamilyBehavioral Health Services and it is an awesome company to work for.
The detox is great and the fact that it was a medical detox was even better because they make sure you are as comfortable as possible. The Love Center Regeneration Ministries, Inc. is a great and well-established rehab facility and they have an amazingly informative staff that is there to help you along the way. Fantastic staff! The rooms are comfortable, you get lots of time to read and journal. After detox, you go to treatment and learn how to cope with life sober. The program, along with the staff at The Love Center Regeneration Ministries, Inc. make the best place you could send someone you loved to get help. Our son has maintained sobriety and currently works for the facility he attended.
They actually care! They can help you with any type of addiction. MIAMI RESCUE MISSION - CENTER FOR MEN is one of the top treatment centers in Miami! If you want to finally understand why it is you’re going through addiction, the therapists at MIAMI RESCUE MISSION - CENTER FOR MEN are the best of the best. Great work! I feel like they helped me with much more than I expected.
