Provider Description

The treatment provided at Shepherd Hill is based upon knowledge of chemical dependency as a life-threatening medical disease. Patients are taught how to manage their disease through an abstinence-based lifestyle and involvement in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and other Twelve-Step support groups. Family members and friends receive education about the disease and the effects the disease has had on their lives. They are introduced to the support programs of Al-Anon and Families Anonymous.

Patients at Shepherd Hill are taught how to manage their disease through an abstinence-based lifestyle and involvement in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and other Twelve-Step support groups.
