OHL is a nonprofit behavioral health care provider with an emphasis on addiction treatment. OHL 's mission is empowering people to conquer addiction. ODH offers a professional, structured and caring Therapeutic Community with comprehensive services and effective support systems that enables individuals to chart new lives and return to their communities as contributing members. In the post-Katrina era of rebuilding New Orleans and much of the Gulf Coast, OHL has expanded its historical mission, as well as its staff and services to bring much-needed aid to the community. The broader vision and scope of OHL's work now encompasses:1) Personal and family recovery.2) Transitional housing and supportive services for low-income and chronically homeless individuals and families living with HIV/AIDs.3) Job training, mentoring and other services to prepare non-violent ex-offenders for new lives as productive workers.
