Provider Description

Macon Rescue Mission provides housing and treatment for men suffering from the disease of addiction at no cost. The rescue mission also has housing for woman who have been the victim of domestic violence.?

The Mens Program:

The men come from all walks of life: veterans and laborers, teachers and construction workers – the Mission welcomes all in need of grace and love. Most who join the program are broken and disheartened, without hope or purpose. The mission helps them regain self-sufficiency and put them on a path to become the men that God calls them to be. Since most of the clients have addictions, which in many instances led to homelessness, the programs and support structures are designed to help them focus on recovery and the life skills needed to break free from their past. The Mission is not simply a shelter, but a place of recovery and permanent life change.

The Womans Program:

The Mission’s Women’s Division is a residential life recovery program for female survivors of domestic violence and their children. They provide a safe place where women can find healing and regain their independence. The objective is to empower the women to become self-sufficient as they share the hope of Jesus Christ. Clients gain self-esteem, life skills, biblical knowledge, and learn to recognize what healthy relationships are. Women leave the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia as strong, assertive, independent women in Christ who are no longer trapped in a cycle of violence and codependence.
