Provider Description

A 10-bed Level II residential program, Elba House provides comprehensive substance abuse treatment and rehabilitative services targeting pregnant and parenting women, ages 18 and older, in a 24-hour supervised environment. Admission is based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and treatment is individualized. Elba House accepts eligible applicants who present with co-occurring disorders who are stable on their medication. Elba House is licensed and credentialed through the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Regional Behavioral Health Authority.
Children ages 10 and under may be eligible to accompany their mothers in treatment. Services may be funded through Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment (SAPT). [View PDF]
Program Goals
The ultimate goal of the program is total abstinence and healthy living utilizing evidence based-interventions designed to:
    Promote greater self-awareness, self-respect, and self-worth
    Offer services that are sensitive to the individual needs of each woman
    Addressing individual needs surrounding cultural identity, religion, and sexual orientation
    Provide referrals to educational and vocational programming, according to treatment plan
    Enable successful community reintegration
    Retain skills necessary to abstain from illicit substances
    Improve interpersonal relationships with family members and others
