User Reviews: This facility has a protect the heard mentality and denies, defies, and lies to cover their a**. They were a walking contradiction, you would never get the same response from the staff on simple matters even, or their favorite is "Pass the buck". You can easily spend a whole week trying to get an answer from " the right person ". They were consistenty out of replies as I would clearly and accurately confront them on violating patient rights and/or providing what they claim to offer. One example is I recieved 2 1on1's in four weeks, when the MINIMUM is one per week. Nothing was ever accomplished in our sessions. The director didn't even know the clients went to the beach on the weekends let alone the rest of the schedule. It was very frustrating to listen to their ignorance and pride, what happened to helping the suffering addict.... Honestly... What are you guys really doing over there. You've lost your path, your initial purpose, if there ever was one even. It makes me sad to see people getting provided false hope and not receiving the help they need and this facility claims they will provide. Please spread the word to advocate for what you are promised and deserve, the right treatment these facilities claim and so often never fulfill. May God bless you and guide you back to why you are in this field. Your dealing with addicts who will 100% of the time display such behavior or act out in different ways. If you claim to be equipped and provide help with these issues as well, then do so. Don't act surprised and disgusted, like you can't believe this current did such a thing.... If you're still operating like that, you obviously have not been in this field long enough.

For five years I lived with this secret demon that controlled every second of my life. I hid it from my family, friends and coworkers. From the outside you would have thought I had it all: two beautiful little girls, a loving fiancé, and supportive friends and family. But inside I was miserable and felt like dying was the only way to end this vicious cycle.Two days before checking into Gulf Breeze my luck ran out. My fiancé found a bottle of forty pills and asked me if I had a drug problem. I was angry, yet relieved that my secret was exposed. I cried in his arms and said, "I need help!"I contacted a friend who had been in and out of rehabs several times, all of which were 12-Step programs, and none of them had worked for her. She told me about a place she had just come back from called Gulf Breeze Recovery in Florida. She said, "I have been to them all, and Gulf Breeze is a godsend."When I arrived, the place looked like a resort. I was greeted by a very friendly guy; he showed me the facility and I was so impressed, a sense of relief came over me. I was scared of detox because I didn't know what to expect. My detox was very comfortable and the nurses accommodated me day and night.After I left the detox treatment I was moved to my permanent room, which was extremely nice and very comfortable.My first two weeks were spent in the spa and sauna to help more with the detox process. After about two weeks being there I started feeling like myself again. I was laughing with the other guests and it was genuine; I would cry because I missed my family, but it was also genuine. I wasn't masking my emotions with pills anymore.At Gulf Breeze Recovery they don't remind you of what you were and what you did. They remind you that you still have and will always have good in you and that what you did in the past is over. Every day is a new day.It will be a year on August 29, 2015 that I have been sober. User Reviews: Everybody is so kind and they are there to help people. And they are doing it from their heart. It is very common to have addiction related to other mental obstacles, therefore their attendance to Duel Diagnosis is on point and professional best practices. The staff is really helpful and loving. Their food was really great. You are served with a lot of different and exotic meals and then there always are free snacks at your disposal. This was a great place. I have never been to treatment before and although I was scared I made the leap and I am glad I made it here.
