User Reviews: I am grateful for the recovery and relationships I was able to build during my stay. The heartland location is rather new and if I would have known that before hand, I would have chosen elsewhere until the kinks are worked out. I was specifically seeking a program that would offer medically supervised detox, Addiction Counseling, and AA access. I was told that this facility did provide all of those functions. Upon admissions, I was also under the impression that this was fully covered by my insurance. That is another battle that I'm fighting on my own and not entirely Sunspire's issue, however there's absolutely no financial counseling during admissions or any discussion of finances upon discharge. Talk about a relapse trigger when you get a huge bill 5 months later! Anyway, that part is being handled separately. My main issues with the actual program are the lack of any AA materials/understanding, flimsy individual/counseling, and no weekend meals... Unless you consider the McDonald's and other fast-food that were brought in and that we are being charged for...All in all, their heart is in the right place, but much to be desired as far as actual content of recovery program. The most help that I received or garnered any information from was our group sessions and that information received from other patients. The one on one counseling was basically workbook based question and answers and the family counseling was an absolute joke. Basically just me talking to my wife for 5 minutes telling her about my day. The counselor was absolutely I'm prepared to have any type of structured counseling session, even though it was requested by both myself as well as my spouse prior to our weekly sessions. Four of the people I went in with have already had significant relapses enough to go to another facility.

A lot of fun activities, great food and there’s even Xbox installed in all of the rooms so you can imagine how many things you get to have to kill your time. Outdoor visits to the beach were also arranged by the staff and we once went to the cinema as well. I had a lot of fun during my recovery. Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Mason City IL
This was a great place to come! The staff and everyone here are great people to be around!
Trust the experts in the field to take care of any situation that might arise. The entire person was treated, body, mind, spirit. The food was fabulous! It was a great experience overall considering they offer awesome food, great indoor and outdoor environment and a number of recreational activities which all add up to make you feel like you’re on a vacation. The place is very comfortable and involves the people in recovery in various activities in the evenings. I am very pleased with the time I spent here.
I would highly recommend this facility. Howard Brown Health Center is one of the best rehab centers. They offer many different type of treatment programs. Everybody can find the perfect fit for themselves. From all the treatment I love their faith-based holistic treatment program the most. I think this is the best way of the recovery. My opinion is that it is not a good idea to try to get somebody off of drugs by using other drugs like prescription drugs. Anybody can easily become addicted to them and everything starts all over again. That`s why I really like Howard Brown Health Center they have so many alternatives to get clean. Howard Brown Health Center helped a lot of people this way and most of them still doing the same they started during rehabilitation and still going to the church after they finish the rehab. Howard Brown Health Center gives you a second chance to live and to make changes in your life. If you or your loved one is having a problem with drugs or alcohol check out this place. One of my friend went there years ago and he is still doing fine, never relapsed and he does not even think about using drugs again. His recovery was complete and 100% Thanks to Howard Brown Health Center for that.
