The amazing clinical team, medical team and guys running the place are the best. Dr. and the clinical staff are amazing!! They charge a very reasonable amount of money for all the services that they offer at their facility. They serve you with a lot of exotic food options that are plain awesome and you also get to have free ice cream and cigarettes, if you smoke. I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling with addiction!

User Reviews: It is hard not to fall in love with this facility if you happen to have a stay there. I think half the credit for my recovery goes to the beautiful environment that the facility has to offer which made things a lot easier for me. Their food was really great. You are served with a lot of different and exotic meals and then there always are free snacks at your disposal. I personally was a big fan of the free ice cream and cigarettes. I also had an excellent experience with their staff members. They were very caring and supportive and it always felt like they truly cared about your recovery. There were also a number of indoor and outdoor activities to get involved in. I really enjoyed the paints and art sessions. I have recommended this facility to a couple of friends of mine and will also recommend them to whoever is reading this. Great work!

User Reviews: VCC The Gary Center is truly the best place you could send someone who’s addicted to drugs. My brother went there last year and he’s changed so much in that time. He went from shooting heroin to helping people get off heroin. Went from manipulating my mom out of money or just stealing money from our parents to working hard to get them paid back. He hasn’t paid them back completely but he sends them money from every paycheck he gets and he’s proud of the fact that he’s able to do it. He’s taken so much from my parents that to see him trying so hard to make up for it is amazing. I had stopped talking to him 2 years before he went to VCC The Gary Center. I was just sick of watching him ruin his life and when he stole a bunch of money from our parents I was just done. He started writing me letters when he got out detox at VCC The Gary Center. I was worried the first time I got one of his letters because every rehab he’s gone to before going to VCC The Gary Center all he did was complain about them. He hated being at them or he hated the people or the staff weren’t nice, it was always something and so I was expecting the same thing from him this time. However, I could tell that VCC The Gary Center was different for him. He told me that the detox he went through wasn’t too bad and that the detox staff really helped him get through it fairly comfortably. He loved the staff there and throughout his programs the letters continued to praise the program and the people working there. While he was there he told me that he had decided that he wanted to do the same thing with his life. He wanted to work there and help people get off drugs. That was a shock for me as I didn’t think he’d ever be that intent on helping others. He got to choose the program he did at VCC The Gary Center. He talked with his counselor about it of course the decision of how he was going to help himself get off drugs was ultimately up to him and that made a huge difference for him. He told me that when he decided on the program he was going to do was when he made the decision to really do that program and get sober for good. He started playing the guitar again. He was always playing when we were growing up but he sold his guitar to get heroin and so stopped playing. They have a music room at VCC The Gary Center where he spent most of his free time. By the time my brother finished his program we were talking on the phone again and I was so happy to have my brother back in my life. He is back at VCC The Gary Center working and he’s doing amazing. I don’t worry about him so much anymore and I know that he’s doing something he loves. It’s been such a great year with my brother and just knowing that he’s going to continue to do good is pretty awesome.

User Reviews: I was a client here recently and my stay at Lake hughes recovery was rocky from the start. The detox is non medical and it was very hard for me to get mesical problema addressed. I bealieve that they are understaffed and their staff is over worked. At least twice a week a member of the support staff would work 24 hour + shifts. The owner of the program was very abrasive and confrontational towards me. The groups were very stale and sometimes misleading ( in my opinion). If your looking for a treatment center that offers quality treatment look elsewhere. I would not reccomend this treatment center to anybody that wants to get sober. I do want to say that there are staff members who care a alot . The propeety is absolutely beautiful and is secluded and quiet.
