My daughter has had much hurt and pain in her life and had experience depression, anxiety, and panic attacks for years which led to drug addiction. She has been to doctors, in counseling, in outpatient care, and in hypnosis to get help. With no relief, she continued in her addiction and was digging a hole so very deep that her very life was at risk. She asked me to find a place that was different than where she had been because she was desperate to be clean and get on a better road to recovery. I called several places but finally was led to University of Maryland Methadone Treatment Program as this was a holistic center. Exactly what my daughter needed. She was admitted to a 30-day inpatient care program. The facility was so very welcoming, calming, and serene. The staff was so awesome, understanding and considerate of our emotions and feelings. They welcomed her in and worked with her on so many issues. When she would call home, she would talk about all of the different treatments she was getting and how it was helping her. She actually said she was having fun! The road to recovery is a long one and we know this as her family; however, because of this facility and the staff and management there, she has experienced wellness and she is clean. They are teachers of life with a lot of experience. And they actually practice what they preach. Overall great experience. The food is amazing and the counselors are too. It is a comfortable place with an atmosphere that is intended to make clients feel at home. The staff at Transitioning Lives Inc were very helpful and friendly. Great staff and real nice center and home. There was this positive vibe at this facility that I think highly influenced my recovery in a positive way.

Not only did this place help with my addiction, but it helped at a much deeper level with my underlying problems such as depression and anxiety. The schedule is amazing and has given me something to build upon now that I have graduated. You do not want to attend any other rehabilitation center as this place treats you as a human being, not as a prisoner. The directors are amazing people that will give an arm and leg to help with your recovery. The owner is not just a businessman but truly, TRULY, cares about people not only during their rehabilitation but progress afterward. I could not be more thankful for this program and what it has done for me. The gym/pool/fitness time is in my honest opinion the most beneficial aspect as it gave me a scheduled time to exercise and rid my body of nasty free radical toxins which can cause depression, it also gave my body an important rush of an endorphins to get back on track to living a healthy manageable life. I would NOT have entered any treatment facility but this one. Truly amazing staff. Nothing but love and appreciation on my behalf.
