User Reviews: In early Feb 2016 I began looking for a long term inpatient substance abuse/mental health treatment facility for my son. He was refusing treatment but I started looking so that I would be ready to go when he decided to accept some help. I spoke with a woman from Wellness who assured me that my insurance was accepted and told me the out of pocket cost would be $3-$4k/mo. I stopped looking for another facility at that time as Wellness had been recommended to me by a few professionals (who knew I was looking for long-term, inpatient treatment) and it was also recommended in a book I read. Mid-April, 2016 my son decides he is ready for help. He calls Wellness for his “intake” call. An hour or so later, a gentleman calls my son back and says our insurance is not accepted. They tell me I will be a direct pay which will cost $9,340/mo. and they need it all up front. My son was in a vulnerable state and has always refused treatment so I agreed. In speaking with the man from Wellness he advised me to book a flight for the next day as often when addicts have time before treatment they will change their minds or go out to party one last time and overdose. The man said to have my flight info ready when he called back in a few hours. I booked a flight, waited for a return call and tried to be patient. Around 5:30 pm I started to get nervous so I called and the office was already closed! Through another contact, I was able to have someone from Wellness get in touch with him after hours and he called me. He said he would email me a Financial Agreement and I was to sign it and fax it back that same night. The Financial Agreement was not clear at all. It made zero sense to me but at this point I was desperate and unable to speak with anyone from the facility again that night. I was worried that if I didn’t sign it that night, he would lose the bed and I wouldn’t even know until we arrived in FL the following afternoon. When we arrived at Wellness, the man was running around like a mad man working on other intakes for the day so we were passed off to a new guy whose name I do not recall. He could not clearly explain the Financial Agreement to me either but did assure me that I would not have to pay any more than the $9,340 for the first 4 weeks (aside from food and cigarette money) and that my insurance would not be accepted by Wellness. I was completely exhausted and was trying to make my flight home that same evening, so I just left. Four weeks went by without them billing our credit card! My son agreed to stay an additional 4 weeks when a woman from the billing department called and asked me to please send her another copy of the Financial Agreement. They lost the first copy somehow. I faxed her the Agreement and paid an additional $8,160 for the additional 4 weeks. In the mail, I started receiving EOB’s from Blue Cross for my son’s treatment at a place called Twelve Oaks (which is mentioned nowhere in our Financial Agreement). When I called Blue Cross, they told me Twelve Oaks was billing for Intensive Outpatient Treatment. I called the woman at Wellness and she attempted to explain why I was “direct pay” while simultaneously they were billing my insurance company after telling me my insurance was not accepted. Her attempts to explain were unsuccessful and she later involved the CFO and the company’s Director. No one could explain why I was being treated as a direct pay and they were also billing Blue Cross but everyone agreed we were due a refund. For months I have been talking to a different person every time I call Wellness. My son was discharged on 5/13/16 and as of 12/18/16 they have not sent a refund of any sort but claim they will be sending $850.00, which is outrageous. Paragraph 1 of the Financial Agreement says $2,275/week for TREATMENT…not housing which they now claim. Why in the world would I sent my son all the way to Florida for outpatient treatment and then pay $7,500/mo. for him to share an apartment with 3 other men Wellness is clearly making their money on their mandatory housing fee and they DO NOT state that up front when you’re dealing with them over the phone or in person! I signed this “contract” under duress and I am considering contacting an attorney at this point. They are in network for my Insurance Company and refuse to bill the housing expense because I signed this crud in an attempt to save my son’s life. There is no reason it should not be billed properly which is all I have asked of them this entire time!

User Reviews: I spent the better part of 15 years using methamphetamine. It had taken over my life and my ability to be comfortable around anyone, most of all myself. I knew I needed help and I had finally gotten to a place where I wanted help. I had never been to rehab before and wasn’t really sure where to start. I knew that a 12 step program was not for me. I just started searching the internet and Gulf Breeze Recovery kept popping up. I called a few places only to get an answering service. I was left feeling discouraged and because of this, I was reluctant to call GBR. When I finally worked up the courage to ca a man answered the phone. I’m so glad he did because I’m not sure I would have ever made it to any rehab if I had not spoken to a real person. Everyone at GBR went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. During my 12 week stay at GBR I learned, not just how to survive but how to live life healthy and happy. I enjoy life now, a life that I now know I deserve. I thank God that I found GBR. It is the real deal! Thank you Gulf Breeze Recovery for saving my life!

User Reviews: This facility is great from start to finish. The staff is top notch. I cannot say enough about this program. My son had been to three other programs with no luck they were very shady and lied. When I took my son to Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches I was never so excited. He loves the program, the staff, and the facility. He will be graduating soon! His case manager has been wonderful. Families are kept informed and can make visits. If someone you know needs help this is the right place.

Why Go to Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Gibsonton, FL?
Alcoholism recovery necessitates a total change of one's lifestyle and perceptions. Substance abuse addiction can be co-occurring with mental health disorders, trauma, or behavioral issues. Drug abuse rehab starts by treating the physical body to ensure that substances are removed. After drugs and alcohol are out of the body, therapists begin treating the brain. Learning stress management, healthy boundaries, and coping skills will significantly increase the likelihood of permanent sobriety. It can take weeks or even months of intensive substance abuse treatment to totally address the hidden causes of substance abuse addiction. Drug and alcohol addiction is a debilitating disease that changes the mind as well as the body. Until we address the underlying reasons for chemical dependency, there is little hope for continuing sobriety. Here at Your First Step, we can assist you in finding the right rehab program in Gibsonton, FL that addresses your needs.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Gibsonton FL
I am writing to you to personally express my heartfelt gratitude to you for your amazing services. I am eternally grateful for Nassau Cnty MH AlcDrug Abuse Council Sutton Place at Hilliard, it was an amazing facility with the best level of care I could have asked for, the administration and counselors were just amazing and essential in my recovery. I would not be where I am today without caring support and words of wisdom I received during my stay, thank you so much. In my opinion, Nassau Cnty MH AlcDrug Abuse Council Sutton Place at Hilliard is by far the best and most effective rehab facility in which I will forever credit in saving my life, it will always have a special place in my heart. A special thanks to everyone and the nurse. Words can not express the level of appreciation I have for all of you and all you have done in helping me get my life back. Much respect to you all.
You can be very open and honest with them, the more open you are the more they can help you. The food is excellent. Reflections Wellness Center of Broward is an amazing facility. The staff truly cares about you and your well being. Reflections Wellness Center of Broward is truly a place of healing. If you or your loved one is having a problem with drugs or alcohol check out this place. Reflections Wellness Center of Broward was very honest and sympathetic and explained the whole process.
The program reaches to several different people and meets them where they are at in their recovery. Twelve Oaks Recovery Center recognizes that medical as well as personal attention is a necessary part of an effective addiction treatment program. The place is very comfortable enough to open up in. All thanks to the guidance and services at this rehab organization. If you want to finally understand why it is you’re going through addiction, the therapists at Twelve Oaks Recovery Center are the best of the best. We will be forever thankful to everyone who touched our lives (staff, patients and other family members) in such a positive way at Twelve Oaks Recovery Center.
The main strength of this treatment facility is the prevention program options that are available. Recovery and sobriety are not a one program fit all type of success story. Each client can take part in a program that is specific to what they may need to work on. This treatment facility also reinforces many life skills and general recovery skills that reinforce their main program. The main weakness of this facility is that it is an older building. However, with that being said, the building and amenities make up for that. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is very serious about their recovery and sobriety. The reason being that people serious about their recovery and serious about sobriety are going to look at how good the program is. I have personally seen the program at Lakeview Center, Inc. change the lives of many different people from all walks of life, and I truly believe that Lakeview Center, Inc. has a program and treatment program for anyone that is serious about their recovery.
