User Reviews: Upon admission they take your valuables (wallet, driver's license, identification cards, bank cards etc) and hold them for you in safe keeping so you can't leave. They even take your suitcase for the same reason. When voluntary patients decide they have had enough they are lied to by staff and told "You can go but your valuables are in a time locked safe and you can't have them" or "If you leave against medical advise your insurance company will make you responsbile for all the bills" or any other number of lies to keep you. If that doesn't work they will begin to call your loved ones that you put on the list to authroize them to "update" or "provide information" to and scare the hell out of them and remind them that your not ready or that you are acting out and that you should not be allowed home. This place is owned by Acadia Healthcare (stock ticker ACHC) and all they care about is exploiting everyone for every dime they can get from their health insurance companies. The food is what you'd expect in prison or county jail; all phone calls are monitored to make sure they can listen and you don't feel comfortable telling your loved one's what exactly you are going through. When your insurance company is done paying for all the days your are eligable for 24 hour inpatient hospitalization then you go to Intensive Outpatience Housing with all your clothes in a platic tub (to make sure you don't leave they will not return your suitcase orvaluables). The classes are senseless and group therapy a joke. This is par for the course for Arcadia Healthcare Inc who is more interested in T. Rowe Price and Blackrock buying up their stock then they are about helping anyone. If you've had a bad experience then complain to the North Carolina Dept of Health & Human Services and the NC Attorney Genral's Office. The quicker these operations are shut down the sooner people can be helped by organizations that truly care about people with drug and alcohol addiciton.

Why Go to Drug and Alcohol Treatment in Durham, NC?
Alcoholism recovery necessitates a total change of one's lifestyle and perceptions. Substance abuse addiction can be co-occurring with mental health disorders, trauma, or behavioral issues. Drug abuse rehab starts by treating the physical body to ensure that substances are removed. After drugs and alcohol are out of the body, therapists begin treating the brain. Learning stress management, healthy boundaries, and coping skills will significantly increase the likelihood of permanent sobriety. It can take weeks or even months of intensive substance abuse treatment to totally address the hidden causes of substance abuse addiction. Drug and alcohol addiction is a debilitating disease that changes the mind as well as the body. Until we address the underlying reasons for chemical dependency, there is little hope for continuing sobriety. Here at Your First Step, we can assist you in finding the right rehab program in Durham, NC that addresses your needs.

Latest Reviews Of Rehab Centers In Durham NC
I found Lighthouse Counseling Center on web and called for my son. After speaking with someone for 2 days, I checked my son into Lighthouse Counseling Center. He said it was going to be the best decision I ever made for my son, and he was right. They were amazing. Everyone is really supportive. I met his therapist, the COO and was so impressed. They all saved his life. Today, he is back at work and living a great life.
Everything I expected from them I received. I recommend it to anyone who has a strong desire to cease substance abuse once and for all and is willing to engage in life-changing behaviors to adjust their outlook on life and gain a healthy perspective on themselves.
This place saved my life. The fact that most the workers are in recovery made the experience so much easier. The staff was amazing. I came in broken & left healed & with a new perspective on life. This place made me want to start living. They gave me hope & set me up w/ an amazing sober living program for aftercare. This facility is top notch.
Really awesome opportunity coming here. The outings and groups were fun. It’s amazing being clean and sober. They worked as a team, to bring to the table individual needs as well as the needs of the group. They were so compassionate and understanding. Caring Services Inc is an excellent treatment facility. I’ve become a functional individual whose back to living a normal life. If it wasn’t for the caring and attentive staff at Caring Services Inc, I wouldn’t have recovered the way I have now.
