User Reviews: Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC is truly the best place you could send someone who’s addicted to drugs. My brother went there last year and he’s changed so much in that time. He went from shooting heroin to helping people get off heroin. Went from manipulating my mom out of money or just stealing money from our parents to working hard to get them paid back. He hasn’t paid them back completely but he sends them money from every paycheck he gets and he’s proud of the fact that he’s able to do it. He’s taken so much from my parents that to see him trying so hard to make up for it is amazing. I had stopped talking to him 2 years before he went to Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC. I was just sick of watching him ruin his life and when he stole a bunch of money from our parents I was just done. He started writing me letters when he got out detox at Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC. I was worried the first time I got one of his letters because every rehab he’s gone to before going to Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC all he did was complain about them. He hated being at them or he hated the people or the staff weren’t nice, it was always something and so I was expecting the same thing from him this time. However, I could tell that Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC was different for him. He told me that the detox he went through wasn’t too bad and that the detox staff really helped him get through it fairly comfortably. He loved the staff there and throughout his programs the letters continued to praise the program and the people working there. While he was there he told me that he had decided that he wanted to do the same thing with his life. He wanted to work there and help people get off drugs. That was a shock for me as I didn’t think he’d ever be that intent on helping others. He got to choose the program he did at Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC. He talked with his counselor about it of course the decision of how he was going to help himself get off drugs was ultimately up to him and that made a huge difference for him. He told me that when he decided on the program he was going to do was when he made the decision to really do that program and get sober for good. He started playing the guitar again. He was always playing when we were growing up but he sold his guitar to get heroin and so stopped playing. They have a music room at Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC where he spent most of his free time. By the time my brother finished his program we were talking on the phone again and I was so happy to have my brother back in my life. He is back at Jett Morgan Treatment Services LLC working and he’s doing amazing. I don’t worry about him so much anymore and I know that he’s doing something he loves. It’s been such a great year with my brother and just knowing that he’s going to continue to do good is pretty awesome.

AK Substance Abuse Facts
Heroin and prescription drugs are among the most commonly abused substances in Alaska, according to a 2016 drug report from the Alaska State Troopers.
Alaska has seen a huge increase in the abuse of opioids (which includes heroin and painkillers) in the past several years. Between 2013 and 2015, heroin abuse rates increased significantly from 0.7% to 1.23%.
Alcohol is also at the top of list of abused substances in Alaska. Between 2014 and 2015, alcohol use in the state was above the national average for adolescents (11% vs. 10.6%), and the number of adults with a diagnosable alcohol use disorder in that year also topped the national average (7.4% vs. 6.1%).
Substance abuse in the state may be driven in part by (and may also worsen) mental health issues, specifically depression. Alaska has the second-highest suicide rate in the country, with 27.1 suicides per 100,000 residents. The national rate is 13.3 per 100,000.
Getting Addiction Treatment Help
Before you decide to get help, think about what kind of program is the best fit for you. For example, if you’ve relapsed in the past, inpatient rehab may be an optimal choice because it can provide more supervision, more intensive care, as well as some distance between you and potential relapse triggers.
Also think about whether you would rather travel out of state for treatment or stay close to home so it’s easier for your family and friends to visit and be a part of your treatment.
If you or someone you care about needs help for drug or alcohol abuse, you can call us. One of our treatment support advisors will be happy to help you locate a program either near you or in another city/state.
Where Else Can I Find Help?
Cost is a concern for many people seeking addiction treatment. Many people also either aren’t insured or have limited coverage. If you’re worried about payment, ask the program about plans that let you pay off the cost of treatment over time.
Treatment centers also commonly offer sliding scale programs that will charge you a certain rate based on your income. Some even make scholarships available that cover all or a portion of the cost.
You can also see if you qualify for government-sponsored insurance plans such as Medicaid and Medicare.
