Provider Description

SHIELDS’ Eden Program is a family-centered day treatment program that provides adults with substance abuse and mental health counseling, comprehensive case management, educational/vocational services, child development and parenting services, health education, and relapse prevention. Eden is certified by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) and is licensed to operate in the City of Lynwood.

The goals of the Eden program are to support the successful, long-term recovery of our clients and to strengthen the family and community by building skills through education, counseling and support. Eden provides a new beginning for individuals and families affected by substance abuse and mental health issues in South Central Los Angeles.

Target Population
SHIELDS’ Eden program serves adult women who reside in South Los Angeles, who have children between the ages of 0 and 18, and who have been diagnosed with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
