RECOVERY CENTER
More than rehab for the Brazos Valley.
What is a recovery center? I’m glad you asked! A recovery center is a faith-based alternative to rehab and a unique solution to the epidemic of drug and alcohol addiction. It is a residential program so participants live and work on campus during the recovery process.

There are two key elements of CrossCentral Recovery Center that you should know about. First, it offers a totally Christ-centered approach to recovery and second, it is absolutely free of charge! For the past five years I have served as the executive director for the Victory Family Recovery Center in Houston TX. Local Judge, Travis Bryan III of the 272 Brazos County District Court has been referring individuals to Houston for treatment since his days as defense attorney here in Bryan. The need for a free, Christ-centered recovery program in the Brazos Valley is evident and we are excited that God is releasing us to serve this area. We are receiving positive feedback from local residents who are aware of the great need and have personal experience battling addiction among love ones. Along with a recovery center, God is unfolding a plan in our hearts to reach out to hurting family members through support groups and prayer gatherings to help counter act the collateral damage that comes with having an addicted family member.

During my time in Houston we experienced a 65% success rate for the graduates of our program. This is compared to 3% success rate among government/state funded treatment centers with a full staff of licensed clinical professionals and substance abuse therapists. The difference is a faith-based approach to recovery deals with the spiritual aspect of addiction not just the physical or mental. Adding to this the Christ-centered solution of redemption and healing through the work of the cross as the foundation of "treatment" and the results are nothing short of miraculous. I have said often that I am not a drug counselor, just a gospel preacher. We are continually amazed at the power of the gospel to redeem, heal and transform lives and communities. If you or someone you know is addicted and needs help we are here for you. If you would like to learn more about checking into our recovery center or would like to get behind this vision please contact me. I would love to hear from you.

What is CrossCentral Recovery Center?
Our mission is to help people overcome drug and alcohol addiction through residential rehab centers that offer faith-based recovery at no cost. Our recovery center is a six-month program for men with plans to accept women in the future. Since our programs are free, we rely on donations from generous people in the community to partner with us in this fight against addiction.

Why CrossCentral?
Did you know that over 65% of cases in the court system are drug related? That alone is costing taxpayers, in every county across Texas, millions of dollars each year. That’s money that could be going to schools and parks for our children. Violence in our communities, theft, neglect of children and broken homes are just a few of results of the addiction epidemic is causing in our nation. Prisons and jails are filled with repeat offenders. Yet, history has proven, the only way to truly turn these individuals around is through faith. Where the government has failed the gospel is thriving and producing real change in peoples lives everyday. Please join us in this fight for our families by supporting us with a financial gift. Your giving makes a difference.
Is the Program Really Free? Yes. Since the families who need our help are dealing with a loved one that is hooked on drugs and/or alcohol, they generally are not in a position to afford our services. If we were to charge for our program we would end up excluding the people and families who actually need our help the most. It’s our conviction to offer our program for free and/or on a sliding financial scale to the community. We also solicit support and help from family members of program participants as well. Addiction is so big that it will take all of us working together to make a difference. This is why donations from generous individuals help us so much. Please consider supporting the work of CrossCentral.

How is CrossCentral Funded?
Currently our operating budget is around $150,000 per year. We are able to raise one third of that through selling coffee. Currently we import, roast and package our own line of "CrossCentral Coffee". 100% of the proceeds from the sell of the coffee go toward the program. We raise another 1/3 through fundraising events and contributions from family members. The last 1/3 comes from generous business owners or individuals like you. We cannot do this work without great ministry partners. Will you consider partnering with us to fight addiction and restore families? We need your help.

Does CrossCentral Offer Job Placement?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that people who are addicted are criminals or lowlifes who don’t know how to do anything else with their time. This simply isn’t our experience. The men who come to our program are mechanics, plumbers, electricians, etc. They are husbands and fathers, sons and brothers, neighbors and friends. Most of the men who seek help from CrossCentral are hard workers who made bad decisions. They are seeking a Christian, faith-based alternative to rehab. So, most of the men in CrossCentral don’t need help finding jobs. That being said, there is the occasion an individual needs extra help and support. In those cases we do everything in our ability to help them get on their feet. This requires additional resources and funding. Through generous donations we are able to offer a complete program that helps transform spirit, soul and body.

Are My Gifts Tax-Deductible?
Yes. CrossCentral Recovery Center is a 501-c3 non-profit organization so all gifts are 100% tax deductible. Your gift will be deductible in the tax year given (i.e. gifts given in 2012 will be deductible on your 2012 taxes).
How Does Someone Join the Program? If you or someone you know is addicted to drugs or alcohol and  interested in coming into the program call our office and we will conduct an over the phone interview. In this initial interview we will assess the case and determine if an appointment is needed. Space is limited and we reserve the program for serious participants only. We are overwhelmed with requests for help from people who sincerely want to change. Through your generous gifts we can accept every legitimate request and together make a difference in the lives of many.
