The purpose of the St. Jude Catholic Church Catholic Alcoholism and Addictions Ministry (CAAM) is to:
* Serve as a resource to Parish Staff by identifying organizations designed to assist the Alcoholic or Addict and their family, friends, and associates. To maintain contact information for these organizations.
* Serve, when requested by parish staff, as immediate contacts for sufferers of these diseases and their family, friends, and associates. To provide references for both Catholic and non-Catholic resources designed to assist the alcoholic or addict and their family, friends, and associates.
* Increase Parish awareness of the disease nature of Alcoholism and Addiction, through literature and sponsorship of forums, as well as through visible assistance and aid to suffering Alcoholics or Addicts and their family, friends, and associates.
